1915 Mee Tarik 中国兰州拉面馆 @ Chulia Street, Georgetown, Penang.

Housed in the same building as Sleep Box along Chulia Street (opposite to the open space public car park near Penang Road)- 1915 Mee Tarik offers diners with Halal China Chinese noodle options. The typical choices like hand-pulled Beef Noodles and Dumplings are available, along with a few more noodle dishes. Dishes are affordably priced with generous serving portions, a decent choice if you are looking for a comfortable space for some tummy-warming beef noodles.

Beef Noodle Soup (Rm 13)

Beijing Zha Jiang Noodle (Rm 13)

Chicken Dumplings (Rm 6)

Spicy Tofu Skin (Rm 4)

Vinegared Potatoes (Rm 4)

The signature Beef Noodle Soup carried a bold Radish sweetness, clean-tasting and definitely heart-warming. The noodles could have been more al-dente but still within acceptable range- as in not slouchy. Do not expect the beef to be tender but more to the meaty-chewy lean meat instead. Comforting on its own but there's always Chili flakes for the extra spicy boost. The Beijing Zha Jiang Noodle was a disappointment- not exactly the thing we were hoping for. But taste-wise, it was quite decent with plenty of refreshing crunch like Cucumbers and Carrots. We topped up with some blanched Chicken Dumplings which were standard-okay. Not complaining for the price though.
