A pet-friendly cafe hidden in the Lebuh Permai (Tanjung Bungah) neighborhood, Breath Cafe is a fairly new spot for the fur-kids to enjoy a leisure meal with the owners. It is easy to miss this place as the cafe is housed inside a residential bungalow without a huge signage. The facade makes it feel like entering someone's home but once inside, you will feel the warm-homey welcoming. There is limited food offering with a handful of main options; there are also some homemade desserts but subject to availability. More like a community cafe that serves the local neighborhood and a space that allows the paw pals to mingle around.
A light meal- the Focaccia (from the Focaccia with Dips) was very fresh with a fluffy-soft texture, there was a hint of burnt aroma at the edges and it was very buttery. We could taste any herbaceous aroma unfortunately. The flat bread was served with Soft Boiled Eggs- Sea Salt, Olives and Cream Cheese as dips. The Salmon Tuscan Spaghetti is a popular choice in Breath Cafe- cooked with a cream-based sauce and served with a piece of fried Salmon. The Cream sauce was good and expertly seasoned but the Spaghetti was slightly overcooked. Also, we thought the portion was very small. The Fried Chicken Donburi offers better values in return- rice blanketed with Omu and topped with a slab of Fried Chicken, served with Hainanese-inspired Onion sauce. The overall flavor-combo was good and we enjoyed the sauce a lot but only if they could be more generous with the sauce...
