4Fingers Crispy Chicken @ Gurney Paragon Mall, Penang.

Started in Singapore, the Korean Fried Chicken chain has gone mainstream in countries like Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia. The brand has earned good reputations over the years, though the country of origin is not from Korea, it is said to serve some of the best Korean-influenced Fried Chickens ever. Its entrance into Penang is a big deal, at least to the Fried Chicken devotees... making a great contender for KyoChon. The chain offers up quite a bit of poultry-based dishes... from the high-praise Fried Chicken to Burgers, Chicken Rice or healthier options like Salad but we can conclude that most dishes revolve around Fried Chicken. The place is Muslim-friendly but that being said, no alcohols are served (sorry Beer lovers!). You can now find 4Fingers at the Ground Floor of Gurney Paragon Mall (previously Caffe Bene), right next to Cho Dong Jib Korean Restaurant.

Though it took us a while to photograph the food, the Fried Chicken remains crisp and crunchy. The Fried Chickens were not as 'moist' as compared to those we had in South Korea but the flavor was amazing. Every single piece was well-seasoned and carefully cooked... tender and juicy. The Fries on the other hand, could be better... they were not as crisp as we would have hoped. Operations were unstable on its first opening day but given that it was a fresh start, we hope they are able to put everything under control. If you must know, I would personally prefer 4Fingers over KyoChon.
